The Wonder of Life
The closeness of the friendship was second to none. It was as if their very thoughts were synchronised. Heart to heart dialogue as if they were one. A need or an issue that required a practical solution with one and straight away without a word spoken about what that issue was, the other would just start to speak out the solution. A divine union, walking in unity and yet, so different and completely their own people, but this divine connection was such a harmonious thing. I imagine it must be like twins who share the same womb for nine months, literally twinning together in thought and action.
Divine purpose, divine union, ebbs and flows, rhythms and rhymes, harmony and frequency. Have you ever seen a flock of birds flying in the sky in complete unity heading in one direction and then immediately swooping down, then loop and soar upwards, only to change direction again as if to the beat of a conductor’s baton. It is instant, in union, how do they know? It is such a marvelous thing to witness it.
Canadian geese fly in formation knowing just when the right time is to release the leader and glide into the point of the ‘v’, and how they know to swap from outside to inner, to rest each other. All are flying as one, in unity in union. A divine orchestral symphony in motion.
The awe and wonder of the frequency of life, union of nature and creation, the rhythmic flow of hearts beating in time, in connection knowing what another needs. Such is the beauty, intelligence, intricate DNA, coded knowledge, of each of us here on this fascinating planet called earth. Our home in the cosmos and yet there is so much more. So much to discover about the wonder of it all. Other galaxies, potential life and even other civilisations.
Awe and wonder, fascination and surprise, delight in the seemingly magical universe that is all around us. The appearing of the first star as sun sets, the firey flaming sun as it sizzles behind the sea’s horizon. The magnificent golden light of the rising sun on the snowcapped mountain tops of Central Otago. Breathtaking!
What a wonderful cosmos we are part of. The smallness of our size, and yet we are part of it, integral. Each of us with our own piece of the puzzle called life.
