A New Year Worthy of Peace and Joy

It has been a while since pen and paper met.  A busy time, is Christmas! Family staying and a family reunion hot on the heels of the festive celebrations.  All wonderful!  How can it be anything else?  Such joy at being together.  Laughter so hard that cheeks and bellies, ache.  The observation of interaction with young and old, delights the mind and floods the heart.

It is not easy connecting with people not seen for a long time, or meeting new people and making the connections.  Oh but it is so worth it.  Finding the gold in others and getting to know them a bit, reaps warm rewards.

One of the trickier organisational moments for the family reunion was the zoom link up from UK, Australia and Spain.  We had an idea of how it might go, but this was way better than anything we could have imagined.

So unexpected was the wave of emotion that affected so many of us, that we had done something so special.  Through the effort and determination of so many, we have now met family we did not know we had.  Connections made, numbers swapped and plans afoot to meet in person.  Absolute gold.

The aftermath of the planning and physical organisation leaves the tank depleted, but as we rest, the warm glow of love, warmth and satisfaction helps recharge the batteries again.

May this New Year's Eve be your place of refresh, rest, rage up or new connections.  Whatever joy filled activity you are planning, in preparation for a superb 2026 of stretch, challenge, rest, connection, growth and reflection, may it be a superb journey.  For those who need recovery time, time to grieve, or gain strength again, may you find more than enough for each new day.
